Service and repair work (anything your warranty does not cover) can be performed on your own or at service facility of your choice without affecting your factory warranty. Never let the dealership force you into thinking your warranty will affected if you service your vehicle elsewhere. Your factory warranty can only be voided if you fail to service your vehicle or service it improperly.

Due to the high technology in Mercedes Benz vehicles you would be advised in purchasing a coverage package the states only what is not included rather than a list of what is included. Many components in a Mercedes Benz are not found in a standard vehicle and you may not be covered if a problem arises.
